No Sun In San Francisco/Principles And Particles/Domino Media Agency/2013 CD Review

No  Sun  In  San  Francisco  are  a  band  from  Switzerland  that  plays  a  mixture  of  post  hardcore,  metal,  and  math  rock  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "Principles  And  Particles"  which  was  released  by  Domino  Media  Agency.

Drums  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  playing  with  no  fast  drumming  or  blast  beats  being  present on t his  recording,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  heavy  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the  recording,  as  for  the  synths  when  they  are  utilized  they  bring  an  experimental  sound  to  the  recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  riffs  that  combine  post  hardcore,  metal  and  math  rock  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  along  with  a  good  amount  of  dark  sounding  melodies  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  soft  and  clean  playing  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  mostly  hardcore  style  yells.  screams,  and  growls  along  with  a  brief  use  of  clean  singing,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark,  hateful,  and  everyday  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  dark,  heavy  and  professional  sound  where  you  can  hear  all  of  the  instruments  present  on  this  recording  with  some  of  the  songs  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

In  my  opinion  No  Sun  In  San  Francisco  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  post  hardcore,  metal  and  math  rock  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Stangehole"  "Slow  Burn"  "Mind  The  Axe  Care  For  Them"  and  "Omega  Void". RECOMMENDED  BUY.
